How to use Winamp for .MP3 > .Wav extraction: [for version 2.5e] Step 1:
Right-click on the main Winamp window, and go to 'Options' -> 'Preferences'. Step 2:
In this window, go to 'Plug-Ins' -> 'Output'. Step 3:
Now, on the right side you see some available plugins. Some of them are already included with the standard Winamp
version. From the list of plug-ins, select the 'Nullsoft Disk Writer Plug-In vX.X [x86]'. By clicking the 'Configure'-button you can select where Winamp should extract the .Wav-files. Step 4:
Now you can fill up your playlist with files you would like to extract (e.g. to burn them on a CD-R[W]). When you're
finished doing that, simply click the 'Play'-button to start the extraction of the files. Winamp will NOT play the
files over the speakers, it will only extract them. Depending on the
speed of your PC, this might take 20-40 seconds for a song of
approx 3,30 minutes.
